Farewell 2014 ...

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye,
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye …

And there, I said it, goodbye 2014 and hello 2015. I swear each year has been passing by faster and faster. Can you please stop for a moment and allow me to catch up and enjoy the day, perhaps month or even year?

Was 2014 a good year? Yeah, it wasn’t bad – I had some pretty good days and if I really reflect on the year I guess I had scored myself some pretty awesome things along the way which have made me feel like I have made some personal progression – which is always what we strive for, right?

I mean I have managed to commit myself to blogging here once a week, sometimes twice a week and I never would have thought I could give myself that time in a day to do that.

Anyways, how did you all spend the last day of 2014?

I camped out at Cockatoo Island with some girlfriends and enjoyed their company over some food and simply chilling until it was time to watch those pretty fireworks shoot into the sky.

There is always something about watching the sparks shooting into the dark night sky and spreading into millions of other little bright lights, creating a beautiful flower. It makes me feel a sense of nostalgia wash through me, perhaps a way of really having the past year “flash before my eyes”.

Although, give me three years ago, I felt that New Years day was simply just another day (which it technically is). But now, I feel like once I hit that 12AM mark, my life is suddenly a web browser and that refresh button has been hit – and I have a whole year to simply do whatever I desire without the past year playing any part, well, in some aspects (because there is always the history page).

There’s much for me to anticipate in 2015, firstly, I have two holidays already booked (sorry bank account). I was just offered a job to squeeze between my uni timetable, working as an intern for a year does pay off. And lastly, I am just ready for whatever is going to come at me for the New Year, perhaps just juggling life with three jobs and uni is more than enough to keep me out of trouble…

So, are you all ready for the New Year and have you got anything you’re looking forward to?

Again, I wish you all a happy and safe new year ahead and may you all achieve all that you wish, creating plenty more happy memories with your loved ones.

And lastly, thank you to everyone who had been supporting me in everything I do, and to those who have come by and read my dear blog.

Cheers,

Cassie x
